if i remember correctly chester was horribly mistreated by the queen, & if so how would he react towards someone who was treated by the same like for example adam if you will?

out. aye, that he was. whilst i have not touched on how he was treated by the queens of wonderland in depth, both the queen of hearts & by the red queen took advantage of chester ( the only two figureheads in a royal position that did not mistreat cheshire horrendously were the white queen & the duchess - but that’s a discussion for another time ). regardless of what rendition of either queen, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, or Carroll’s original tales, portrayals of each monarch are aligned to be very chaotic - although not AS chaotic as the cheshire himself.

as for how he could relate to others how have been in likewise positions ( being brutalized by those in a powerful, often bureaucratic position to which they misuse their ability ) - in spite of his normal sarcastic, nonchalant demeanor, chester holds a certain aspect of RESPECT for any others. albeit some qualities of another person also factor in on how chester treats another ( current personality, thoughts on society, physical actions & movements, etc. ), more likely than not moment in which he discerns fact, chester’s perception that person as a whole alters slightly.

now that is not to say that chester will immediately change his personal actions, nor would he wholly shift attitude later on - chester is wholeheartedly against pity friendship & conduct in general.

take it in adam’s case ; someone chester already has a prior relationship with. it’s no secret that chester & adam don’t have the best relationship, sure they may be amiable every now & then, but in essence, they’re not the best of friends. if ( & when ), he comes to learn more about adam’s past & how his safety & content has been infringed on because of another person’s mindset, chester will realize why adam acts the way he does & so he himself will change mannerisms so that he won’t come off as a entirely dominant in a situation like his relationship with adam. he’ll impulsively envision himself in adam’s situation or vise verse ( adam surviving what he lived through ).

chester won’t be as much of a pompous arse he is for sole reason that he doesn’t want to trigger anyone in any manner so that they may lash out at him in a way that could trigger him.
