out. i adore the creative spin people have when utilizing a certain face claim ( or face claims )!! especially in the case of alternative face claims or establishing them for ocs, the new approach to looking at that person ( whether they be an actor, model, animated character, etc. ) and seeing so-and-so’s character rendition whenever I watch, or read about, or see that celebrity I immediately think of a url on tumblr.

one thing, however, that leaves a sour taste in my mouth is how people seem to claim face claims for their own. now this isn’t about stealing concept of a face claim when creating a single character ( ie. if there was another cheshire cat character that used benedict cumberbatch as their main face claim - I wouldn’t be too thrilled about it because I have had this character for a couple of years now & I would feel as though it takes away from my work that I’ve set into this blog ) but when it comes to seeing as that actor or that model is to only be used by one person, then it gets to be a bit annoying. backgrounds are one thing, but face claims are another. they’re essentially actors by the way we use them & actors will play more than one role ; that’s their job. it’s okay to see another person have he same face claim as another because hey, who doesn’t love twin aus?
