out. being exposed to hate-filled remarks circulating about my face claim/works he has been apart of is very…disheartening. whilst I do recognize that the moderization of sherlock isn’t going to hit home with everyone who watches ( it does branch away from sir acd’s original tale & there are questionable script details, but not all of that is benedict’s fault ). I know that he has made startling remarks about autism & characters he’s played ( especially about frankeinstien & sherlock, which is the main reason i didn’t jump on the bandwagon til very late ) as well as other topics. i do respect that people are upset that he was cast in dr strange ( pedro pascal was my choice – tbh ) but like….the hate is everywhere at this point, including people I follow & enjoy on my dash. the hatred just exploded suddenly ( especially about his looks ) and…? i feel like i’m doing something wrong for appreciating his acting, wrong for finding interest in his career.

Now please don’t confuse this with defending all of his actions/comments, because some are really like ‘really ben? really?’, but he’s been made out to be one of the worst actors right now, & it’s so fucking annoying at this point. I respect everyone’s opinions about ben c/ sherlock, but fuck. i’m all prepared to unfollow people who incessantly shitpost him because I don’t need that on my dash.
